Chinese New Year
This Chinese New Year marks the end of the year of the snake and start of the year of the horse. So I should be sighing a breath of relief as the last year was supposed to bring me bad luck. Well the year is over and I can’t say I had any back luck. I do believe that luck plays a huge factor in our lives, however I also believe that we make our own luck from the actions we take. We choose how much time to spend with our families. We choose which friends to hold closest. We also choose our dreams and decide whether to chase them. So maybe I countered all that bad luck by making the right choices last year.
During the week, all the new year dinners I’ve been having and all the dragon dances and lanterns on the streets signaled it was time for an oriental style outfit shoot. We did the shoots in various locations around China Town in Sydney. There is a little lane with blue clouds graffitied on the wall. It’s a very interesting image, taking oriental porcelain prints into an urban setting. The more I blog, the more unique and interesting places I find in this city.
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
