Wooloomooloo Finger Wharf
Wooloomooloo Finger Wharf is one the cool little places to explore in Sydney. The wharf was built in 1910. First it was used as a wool transport point, then as an embarkation point for troops in both World Wars. Then was used as an disembarkation point for new migrants arriving in Australia. The Finger Wharf must have seen lots of new faces in its days. Now it used for none of those things and has been converted into a set of apartments. There are some nice little cafes and restaurants on the ground floor strip which are worth a visit and is a lot quieter than other harboursides in Sydney.
